not expensive for the amount you would use the only reason rowans mc outfit was so heavy/expensive is cos it was all over him

Probably $20-40 of silicon (depending on how the molds are made), $10-30 of resin, depending on how many casts. And it wouldnt be too hard to make the master if it was just a simple design like this: www.collectors-badges.com/images/Arms/1866deringer22cal.jpg(easily done from one or two sheets of styrene $2 a sheet) Alternatively if you just wanted say 2-6 of them it wouldn't be that hard to draft a layered pattern and just trace it onto multiple sheets of styrene, cutting out the costs of silicon and resin, but it takes a little longer to make them. see what happens when you make me start talking about props... SEE! ;D

thats exactly what it would be and you would only need one mold of half of the gun again cutting all costs by about half but you would need at least 20 casts but it is dam small probably use less than each of my stnj shoulder thingies

resin would be much better than foam... i'd pay the extra for it

Dunks, your STNJ shoulder thingos only used a 2 caps of each part of the resin, a gun would use a little more, but not a lot. also, you would want at least 2 you can have in your hands and show off, the rest can be done in 1/2s assuming i make a 2 part mold (which would mostly likely be the type of mold i made)
now I'm off to maccas for some tea... be back in 20

wouldn't it be better to have whole ones... otherwise they would have to be stuck in really well so it wasn't obvious they were halves

in my opinion, yes whole ones would be better, but people would not notice that the ones stuck/sewn on the underside of the cape were 1/2's. its like spotting mistakes in my Mjolnir armour, i see them EVERYWHERE, but 98% of people who look at it think its perfect... so if you did want to go ahead with it at some point, it would be up to you, we can work either way. btw dunkley, if i teach u how to make props you should start taking commissions, a nice supplement to you maccas income.
