I'm not nearly as bad as some, the legendary armor guys (known as sci-fire in the star wars scene) spend tens of thousands getting their stuff 100% screen accurate. Then again they work for one of the biggest prop studios in the US, so they have access to tools and resources i could only dream of.

well i would cast em out of resin i dont much care for accuracy of weight but resin would make sure they all look the same rather tan handcrafting with something lighter plus derringers are light as hell anyway you seen one in real life they're tiny plus you could get away with only having 20 all up it wouldnt be muck more than a couple of kilos

oh it had better not be much more than a few kilos if I did it... maybe next year... or after manifest for something random... I have everything planned now... Did I mention I'm doing a total of 7 cosplays for manifest? That includes amaranth....

Seriously, i don't know ANYONE in the prop community that is worried about "accurate weight" I've never even herd those words used together before... The best way to make epic looking guns is "cold casting" using aluminum powder in the resin to give it the look and feel of metal, but the weight of resin Us prop makers are a sneaky bunch ;D also, you can order iron oxide and aluminum powder from molding and casting store... just in case anyone here wanted to know where to get high quality ingredients for thermite...
