I think EB hates anime, they used to sell it a few years back then stopped. They must have been taken over by some evil anime hating evil demon thing... Just taking and educated guess there though. ^_~

I was going to say, I can help if you need me to... I do have lots of work of my own to do but as of the end of this month I can do whatever, and I would love to help... Kinda funny cause I'm entering but I don't mind. I think a fund raiser would be good, we can't just rely on sponcers, its our first comp and we need to build a name for ourselves so they might not want to support us yet.... Any ideas for what we could do for a fund raiser though? I haven't got a clue to be honest...

Its not really a fundraiser, but here's a suggestion: Start charging for coming to the meetings, just $1 or something. even if you call it a donation and let people know its not compulsory. I'm sure none of us will miss $1 once a month... another suggestions: BAKA T-shirts. I'm not sure where you would have them made, obviously you would sell them at a slightly higher cost than it is to make them, and the dif could go into the club.
I also had some stupid suggestions, like a sexy male cosplay auction, but i doubt that would bring in much money (at all...)

The thing about t-shirts (coming from a graphic design student, don't argue with me) is that they are expensive to make, and it would probably have to be a single colour print to cut costs down... it is possible, but to have the money to pay for them in the first place, before you sold them, would be the most massive issue... it would be roughly $1000 to $2000 or more (at a guess) and we just can't come up with that kind of money...

yeah, thats what we are talking about... I thought of another issue... Karasu and I are going to design postcard things n posters, but if we aren't allowed to print them at uni (since there will be quite a few) we're going to have to go to a printer to get them done... which means we need money for that too... If we put a vagabond logo on everything saying they are our sponcers would they be able to help pay for stuff? I don't expect them to pay for the full price, but something like 2c each time their logo is printed (trust me thats heaps in the graphic design business.... and we'll have heaps printed)... Anyway, Rose do you think you could mention that to them sometime soon? and I'll talk to my lecturer and if he can't let us print I'll get a few quotes from places to see what we can do...

its a fairly common thing for people to be charged every time a photo is used (if the photo is purchased off the net) so if we could get a donation every time we use their logo, it should help. Plus they are our main sponsor.
