I'm wanting to do the same with my props, Ill get some crappy part time job somewhere, and in my spare time work on my props, then after a few months I'm hoping that the props will make enough money for me to leave that job (although if its a decent job at Harvey Norman or something id stay on) and just work on props. Then send a nice fat portfolio into WETA and get hired!!! Ok thats the best case situation... but you never know ;D

Mine is totally realistic! WETA pretty much hires one person a year, a few years back somone i know from the 405th forums got a job there because he wore his Mjolnir armour to armageddon in NZ where WETA was showing off some Halo props, they liked his armour, and he got a job! 1/2 the reason i want to go to NZ! ;D

thanks ed! Yeah they do anything and everything to do with film production! Making prosthetics and having to wear prosthetics are two totally different things, I'm pretty sure wearing them is harder ;D Come to think of it, next year when i have some more time i might try my hand at designing and making some cool freaky creatures to put in my portfolio...

The actual sculpting of it should be easy for you as long as you have a cast of your head, its the fiddly molding and casting procedures that are annoying and difficult.

Yeah I'll need help getting a face cast. Getting the makup right will be insane too, some I should manage but may need help. Hoping that I have enough time to do several tests on myself before hand to practise doing it on myself as good as possible.
