The manga is different in a lot of respects....... They really toned it down for the anime but the anime is still one of the best i've seen!
The volumes do take a long time to come out... I don't know wether its due to black horse being slack or translation issues or censoring... But its definately worth reading if you have a strong stomach. As it says on the back of volume 5
"If your looking for a manga with a pretty pink ribbon tied around it... Then berserk will show you where you can shove that ribbon"

Dude I am sooooooo a Berserk fan. It is one of the greatest manga I have ever read and the show ain't too bad either. Just wish more money went into the show coz it felt cheap. Also the Skull Knight was cut out. What's up with that? And they didn't even show the Wyald who is such a cool dude. Oh and finishing the way it did hurt me in so many ways.

Berserk... How it has scarred me... Thank you Josh for leaving a volume of the manga laying around - If only I had not picked it up and opened it at those pages... I want to gouge my eyes out... Definantly not for those who can't handle graphic rape, torture and killing/mutilation scenes etc

I know it's just black and white pictures on paper, but still... when you open up to a graphic rape seen, you can't help but be put off..... But, I am a girl, so stuff like that will grose me out more than it would for guys...
