We had someone ask on the cosplay.com forum if it would be ok for a 14 yr old to enter, I'm assuming its fine, I put it up already... but I thought I'd mention it. Maybe we should note somewhere that there is no age restrictions.

good point. drum roll  GUF and Good Games will be sponcering the comp by...... paying for the room!!!!! Mark the manager is excited about the event and is always happy to support a ballarat group!!!!!!! ;D  so if u get a chance pop in to Guf or Good games take a look and show ur suport to them for their great help NOTE: Good Gamrs sells yu-ge-oh cards, they play D&D and have magic cards |

Ok, so we have sponsors, room, and we have prizes. We HAVE to get publicity out... We have less than TWO MONTHS! Other than posting on forums and word of mouth, when are we gonna do that walk down Bridge Mall or distribute posters/fliers? Any idea when?

We need to make the posters and fliers first, so once Boofhead has finished doing Grease, we'll get onto it.

perhaps this as a general idea for the flier
ok time to use your imagination
one side of the page have an amine character one of us has cosplayed
on the other side have that particular person in a similar/identical pose
info in the middle
waddaya guys reckon?

I think it would be easier to do one sided... less printing and all... to be honnest. But its a great idea. Maybe one day when we have more money.

I was thinking of some kind of publicity stunt (showing off in public) in cosplay promoting the event, but that would complicate things and perhaps look bad when we get in trouble by cops.

I thought we were planning on walking around Ballarat in cosplay to promote the event...
Borgieman- Where do u think we live? the USSR?? Walking around in cosplay to promote an event cant get us in trouble with the cops, unless they think we are carrying weapons, which obviously we would not be.

Not to sound like a wet blanket here, but I think some people may freak out if some people in Cosplay come out in public. Perhaps i'm just being my paranoid self.
