Has anyone heard of or read "Genkaku Picasso"? If you haven't, it's definitely worth checking out, and it's short; only 3 volumes.
Basically it's about this guy, Hikami Hamura, who has the nickname Picasso due to his amazing artistic ability. He's one of those "I'm above you all" type guys at glance, and his only friend is this girl called Chiaki Yamamoto. One day they're down by the river and a hellicopter crashes into them, killing Chiaki while Hamura comes out unscathed. It's later revealed that in her dieing minutes, Chiaki prayed that Hamura's talent should not go to waste, and in turn his life was saved. The cost however; that he help people through his art, or else he'll start rotting. Chiaki soon comes back as a sort of guardian angel that only Hamura can see. And thus their adventures begin~
So, yeah. That's a basic synopsis of what you can expect from it. It's written and illustrated by Usamaru Furuya (my favourite Mangaka) and it ran in Shonen Jump! The art is amazing and I could only give you one warning about the series; you might cry.
I did. -___-"
