Hello. I just thought I'd let you guys know that I got the job for the teaching position in Japan. I'll be moving to Inagawa-cho in the Hyogo prefecture for a minimum of 1 year, most likely 2 years. I'll be an Assistant Language Teacher at the local primary and high schools! Inagawa is about two hours from Osaka, and is a small "country" town - about the size of Ballarat. The whole idea hasn't quite sunk in yet, but when it does, it's going to hit me like a tonne of bricks Anyway, as this club's Shadow Minister, it means I won't be around for meetings, I'll miss out on all the fun conventions, and most importantly, I won't get to hang out with you wonderful people! ;_; I won't be leaving unitl March, so just one meeting left... which I have to point out, as I supply all the equipment of late, when I go, the club will be without laptop, projector and speakers (sorry guys!) - any help regarding this is appreciated. So yes - please keep in contact with me, and if there is anything you might want from Japan (that is reasonable, I might add - no freakin' huge drums etc!) let me know, and I'll see if I can get it for you ;D regards Celeste aka Shadow aka rainsongphoenix

I knew you'd get the job. I'm happy for you. I'm a bit jealous that you're going to Japan. But my time will come and when it does...I'll be raiding arcade centers all over the country! But...there's always my other dream visit to America! *background singers "F**K YEAH!"*

I know you'll do well with Japanese at Uni, so you'll be well versed in the language for when you do make it to Japan. Are you planning on going on the Japan trip with the Uni at the end of the year? That would be cool

That would be cool I would of...until my course coordinator told me that I would have to pay from my own pocket to take the courses rather than use my HECS. So I decided to just drop the courses and take an outside language school when I get money.

I did most of the paper work today, and from the "Inagawa Town guide" it looks like a really nice place - lots of forests and a large river in the nature park. And only 1 hour 10min from Osaka! Lots of 'farmers' markets, local traditions and festivals

Hey that's cool. If I were a hardcore anime nut I'd be jealous. China is more my dream place. But anyways this is a great opportunity for you and wish luck.
