Um, Hi!
I saw the picture in the Courier of a bunch of people from this club (yes, i read the courier) and was like, "Whoa, this town actually has a club for this!"
So yeah, I have been into anime since I saw Pokemon on TV when I was 4, but have only gone "crazy" in the past year or so, and manga since 2009!
My favourite series are FLCL, InuYasha, Rurouni Kenshin, Ouran High School Host Club, Ah! My Goddess and Clannad. My favourite manga are Guru Guru Pon Chan, School Rumble and Bakuman. Oh yeah, and ShonenJump Monthly!
Um, my user name, neverknowsbest, is what is written on the cigarettes mamimi samejima from FLCL uses. That's definetley appropriate :/
At the moment I'm watching Hetalia Axis Powers, Eden of the East, Toradora and Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai. I also like Cosplay... Oh and .//hack games! Oh and weird Yogurt and Milk drinks you can only buy at conventions!
I talks a lot. Looking forward to being in this club.

They gave me a four page spread in the Herald Sun, The title was called, Man breaks world record for having the largest ego. First page is a picture of me while the other three are blank apart from the work "ego" in the middle.

Its ok if it took a while for you to be crazy about anime. I think we have all been casual fans of anime at first, until we see a series that really makes anime our lives and a good reason to still watch anime even though we are not kids anymore. Pokemon was one series that made me an otaku for anime. Before that I had known about anime as cartoons from Japan but never on the level that Pokemon was as I was often teased at school and was made to think that was normal for school friends, but with Pokemon I had some confidence to figure out that real friends don't bully you or tease you at school. So in a way, that was how I became an otaku, also something about Misty as I was a teenage boy at the time made me really like an anime girl for some reason. hope the anime that made you crazy for anime was something really special to you. |

Haha, thankyou. I beleive the series was "Ah! My Goddess". A Friend lent it to me and I was hooked due to how adorable it was (it's sort of a harem anime, but in a good way). And I think that I got teased in Primary School for playing Yu-Gi-Oh with the guys, lol. But yeah, you get past that~

I was watching anime for years before I realized it's awesomness - mind, I was watching it undubbed/unsubbed when I live overseas, but yeah...
first series that got me hooked was Gundam wing... good times....
