en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UzumakiA friend in ITMS gave me a disc full of manga and live action JMovies. All of which I requested are to be twisted, mindbending and obscure. One manga I would like to extend my good word to is Uzumaki. I read six chapters so far and it has clinched my expectations. Basically the short premise is one mans unhealthy fascination with spirals and how it becomes an obsession leading to his death which then turns into a curse over the mans town. That's what I read so far and I recommend others who like the twisted manga to give it the chance it deserves.

Yeah, this was featured on Manga Traders and it really is great.
I love the art, because it's creepy and twisted too, so it draws from the story (:
Though i will say when Shuichi's mum has those scissors and she's trying to get the "spirals" out of her ears... *shudder*

I forget now, but it's by koji something, look up guro manga or something. (Not the porn) But the extreme themed ones. It's the same art style.
There's one with these orphans from what I can remember.

Maybe it's because I'm female, but I cannot see the appeal of gory, mega violent/sexed up manga - or anime..... It must be a guy thing....

It must be a guy thing.... i think it may be a guy thing... but stuff thats of a kind of gore/mystery genre i actually quite like... like higurashi no naku koro ni, umineko no naku koro ni, another, etc. (: |
