This particular one will not have a poll and it will be open to anime you believe is worthy of having the title. WORST. DUB. EVER.
Ever watch anime in English and you couldn't stand it? Here's the place to discuss it here.
One anime I believe is worthy of the title WORST. DUB. EVER. would have to be Azumanga Daioh. Don't get me wrong, I have the omnibus of the Manga and I loved it in Japanese when I watched the anime. But when I watched the English dubs...OH GOD.
Here's an example. One scene, both in Jap and in English. (Other participants are encouraged to do the same)
FIRST HERES THE JAPANESE VOICING.
NOW HERES THE AWFUL ENGLISH DUB

this debate was just for voice acting not censorship or political correctness (that's another thread for another time). Speaking of which, while we are on the topic of PC-etc. Here's a mindblowing example...
Since back in the Mega Drive days I always thought of those riceballs back on Alex Kidd and the Enchanted Castle as actual donuts. *profanity* you 4Kids for misleading me. -_-

Ahh! I can't believe they changed the rice balls to "donuts" - any idiot can plainly see that they are NOT donuts. Americans.....
As far as bad dubbing goes, I have to add Bleach to the list. Don't get me wrong - I like Jonny Young Bosch as a voice actor, but the dubbing in general was just terrible. I think they went and scouted people with the most annoying voices for those characters - such a shame...
Another thing I hate is when they give certain characters who come from different provinces and speak a different dialect in Japan(eg. Osaka in Azumanga Daioh) southern accents. Southern accents do not work for any anime character!

I've noticed that too. Mai-Otome, Mai-Hime and Someday Dreamers had southern accents.....

I guess those southern accents weren't so bad, now I think of it. I guess it really depends on the character... And yes, the southern accents in Someday's Dreamers were quite bad, as was the awful english accent of the character Angela... |

but u can include cowboy bebop in the really bad dubbing cos it was awesome! it6 sounds better in English than japanese AND THATS REALLY HEARD TO DO.... ahhhh back when they actually cared about dubbing

HETALIA AXIS POWERS! The dub is horrific... Italy sounds like Mario and none of their voices are as nice as the original. Damn those traditional accents... Oh and the Rurouni Kenshin dub was so goofy it was hillarious, i mean he kinda made his sentences like yoda... lol
