sorry to hear that the person you were playing SCV online was not really playing it and just insulting you.
Sometimes playing online is fun with people playing fair, but it is not fun when people are being idiots to you.
Real life playing can be fun with people who like to play games together, like I have with Smash Bros and Mario Kart games.
But sadly I have meet people who would not play fair in real life, and they would just unplug your controller when you are about to win, or they would just turn the console off if they don't get their way all the time.
So I have known allot about the highs and lows of playing with someone in real life face to face gaming, it can be just as annoying as playing online when things get really bad with the other player.

The worst thing knowing that the weather is getting hotter. That feel when you get into your car...and it is hot as hell.

Ugh, so it's become cool to be a nerd/geek now huh? Back in my day, I used to get called a nerd all the time - not in the friendly sense either... damn trend-setters....

I would be fine with society revering the nerd/geek archetype person in society. But too bad everyone else is half assing it. It seems the standards to being a nerd/geek have been lowered. You play Call of Duty you must be a gamer nerd, you watch the latest Star Trek movie nerd, you wear ugly glasses (for the wrong reasons) nerd. But still, I find it fun that I will expose these fake nerd/geeks and the irony will strike them that they will hate what they are trying to be.

Ugh, so it's become cool to be a nerd/geek now huh? Back in my day, I used to get called a nerd all the time - not in the friendly sense either... damn trend-setters.... Yeah, this is grating. The same people that called people out for playing video games during their highschool years are now spending 5 hours a day playing call of duty and have somehow put a positive spin on it while being much more vocal about it all - "look at me i'm a nerd lol". What's more grating is people that are still stuck in that highschool mentality, who still label people, spread rumours and other immature s***. This will never be passed if only because it would be far too difficult to block a social networking site as large as Facebook (or any site, really...), especially when you consider how many staple companies like Telstra and Optus have contracts with them that they would have to break etc. It's just scare tactics, banking on peoples fear to sell a story -- which is something to rant about in itself. On another note: my next door neighbors are renovating or something and have had jackhammers hammering at 7:30AM every morning for the past week now like 10 meters away from my bedroom window. Today it's a chainsaw, so hopefully that means they've finished with the jackhammer and are nearing the end of needing loud things. And back to games: the last time I played Halo 4 was around 2 weeks ago. When I was playing I received a pop up notification in-game that said I was being temporarily suspended from voice communications for 1 week. There was no mention of any reasons behind the suspension or anything and I have no idea why it happened because I have never (not once!) even turned my microphone on while using the xbox unless I have been in a private party with friends that I know personally. Yeah, sure, we smack-talk and use a bit of profanity here and there but if it's in a private conversation and nobody but us has to listen to each other why does that warrant a suspension? I ended up contacting Xbox Support who were really unhelpful and basically told me that I "had done one or more of a number of things that could result in this outcome" -- in other words "we don't know d***" -- and then said that my conversation was being monitored at the time of the ban and one of their representatives must have decided that it was necessary to suspend my ability to chat... What I don't fully understand is why it was the in-game/lobby public chat that was banned and not the xbox live party chat feature, which still worked fine afterwards and still does. It's not even possible to use the in-game public chat function while in a private party chat so it makes little sense and is a little concerning coming from a service that I have to pay money to use. My Kindle's WiFi stopped working a little while ago but I've been busy dealing with a lot of family stuff and had exams and then had more family stuff to deal with so I hadn't had time to really look at it, I don't think Wi-Fi on a Kindle is all that important anyway so it was a pretty low priority. But there's a bright side to this story: yesterday I spent about 15 minutes trying to fix it myself and nothing I tried worked so I opened up my web browser and went to amazon's support page, waited in a queue for 15 seconds before starting up a chat with one of their representatives. We said hello and all of that and then I told them the issue and without any troubleshooting they told me that they would send me a new one. The whole conversation lasted 30 seconds. I should have done that a long time ago.

Online gaming services make a lot of sense nowadays especially since these clows abuse the system and dont even get a slap on the wrist
