Today I experienced a little bit of racism at EBGames.
So as always I visit my local store when I happen to be in the PS3 section and notice this certain game which I will go into detail later. I ask one of the staff to direct me to the manager, so he does so. I then go up to the manager and say: "Can you help me get wet?". Then she says: "Excuse me. What?". So I direct her to the PS3 section and she stood there with a blank look on his face, so I told her: "I am unable to get wet".
She then said: "This is an invalid comment without reason, and you should leave the store immediately". I then said: "Excuse me. I don't think it's fair that you offer products which you cannot provide to fellow Australians. I will get my cousins on the case". She then proceeded to laugh at me. Then I said: "I will not take action if you give me an EBGames discount voucher or a box of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards for myself". She declined this request and started laughing even harder.
She then had the nerve to say: "Excuse me, we don't do those kind of offers for Australians".
I said: "I think that is absolutely disgusting behaviour." So I walked to the PS3 section and screamed: "WHY CANNOT ANYONE HELP ME GET WET?!", and as I was doing so, another staff member decided to yell: "THAT GUY WANTS TO GET WET!".
I took serious offence to this. Where is the appropriate place to voice my opinion on this to EBGames staff?
By the way, if it wasn't clear enough, the PS3 game Wet was high up on the wall and as a result, I could not get wet.

You have a PS3? Also WET isn't that good, whats the point? I think you were just trolling the EB staff.
Jokes aside, another reason that EB is unlikeable is the insane amount of stickers they put on their products. There's like what 3-5 stickers per box. Pricks like to make up peel crappy stickers which will damage our boxes!

No. I was looking around at the games for it. Just keeping up-to-date with releases and such.

Hmmmm, I'm just saying, but maybe if you had said "can you help me the Wet - the ps3 game?" or something like that.... Anyway, those EB people sound like mega jerks... I find that when a game is high up on the shelf at EB, and the jerks working there (no offence Rowan or Brad) make no effort to help me, I just start knocking stuff down in my attempts to reach it....

Let's go back to the topic of DVD Region Codes. I recently picked up a copy of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. It was an import from England hence went under region code 2. I put it into my DVD player (PS3), won't play. Bullshit. I try my other British DVD The IT Crowd Season 3, works perfectly. More proof that Region Codes are useless and a DVD fans nightmare.
Also Faxy, remember we were talking about on what I should rant about next? I forgot. Too busy being controversial and scoring points for being an moralistic ass in Modern Warfare 2.
EDIT: A rant me, Faxy and Jez agree wholeheartedly.

Yes, I hate region codes too...... Well, I just finished my exams, and I have to say - the stats exam was easier that the Aus flora exams! What are the odds of that? I choose to rant about the universtiy canteen food. First off, it is crap food - the potato cakes are like deep fried cardboard (I only ever ate one from there - that was enough for me..), the chips taste like they've been cooked in oil that was used to cook everything else for a whole month, and the donuts are soggy and half cooked.... Second, they never have prices on the food - I took a puny slice up to the register, and they wanted $3.50 for it! Third: the food is waaaaaay over-priced - $3.50 for a bottle of water - it is merely glorified tap water! And fourth: the staff there are rude.. Eh, I'm fighting a losing battle...

Oh come on, that's not fair. Those people at the canteen work very hard. You meanie! But yeah, I will admit some of the food is purely edible at best. But you know, beggars can't be choosers. If you don't like the canteen food, either get your own lunch from home (I'd do it myself, but I'm a crap cook) or just drive into town and get food which I would swear would cost about the same if you don't include the money it takes to fuel car or bus ticket etc.
Futhermore, I don't remember any of the canteen staff being rude at all. When has a canteen staff member ever been rude?

oh, lots of times.... And besides, that is purely my opinion - I never said anyone had to agree with me... And I do get my own food from home thank you very much (when I actually have food at home)...

That's fine. I did agree with you on some points. Also last I checked wasn't water 2.50 a bottle?

I dunno - it seems to change: the last time I got a bottle from there, it was around the $3.50 mark... Oh well...

Speaking of food, this inspires me to do ANOTHER rant.
You wanna know what pisses me off at the moment? Fast food which has new food for sale, then they get rid of it. Why? Because sometimes they release something that is so good, you like it. What more is to say. Then weeks later they stop making it. What a tease, I liked Hot N Spicy chicken at KFC, they would have them for a few weeks then they are no longer on sale. In fact I haven't seen them come back in a LONG while. I know they have Wicked Wings which have been out for some time, but it's just not the same. But still WHY DO THE *profanity*ING RESTAURANTS HAVE TO TEASE LIKE THIS? Although I think it's good they scrap some of their new foods, remember the KFC Favorites bowl? What were they thinking? It was a big bowl of potato and gravy, with popcorn chicken, sweet corn and cheese. Yeah, enjoy eating that crap. Scrap the stuff that doesn't sale, but don't get rid of the awesome stuff. It's simple marketing and the fast food industry fails at it.
