A friend of mine recently purchased a "loveless" box set... So does that mean he watches gay animé? not that there is anything wrong with that. If you discovered a guy had loveless, Antique bakery, and Fake in their animé files... what would you think? is it acceptable for guys to watch these BL style animés? link related... i need to get off 4-chan, its affecting my typing... questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1441

First of all a friendly hello and welcome. Secondly as per your question: I'm not going to touch that one with a 10ft poll. Sorry, not quite my expertise.

well in anime terms thats Yaoi. but yes its a gay anime. I wont ever touch that stuff with a ten foot pole but i do have a couple of male friends who watch yaoi, and they enjoy it and are not gay. Just like i have female friends who watch Yuri.
what i guess is that just like any genre it has its own style. just like the humour of ecchi is completely different to anything else. i just guess the drama of a yaoi is what they like and not the actual gayness. Just like i watch Ecchi more for the humour then the boobies

TBH, Loveless has a lot of battles and magic and stuff like that (as I recall.) I can see the pull.
No pun intended.

I think it's completely up to the individual as to what they want to watch - in Japan, yoai and yuri in manga or anime is common, and it's not seen as anything really bad - different cultures too... I say, don't judge 'em to harsh...

I loved Gravitation just because it was a funny series, with or without the gay. But there is a line for me with yaori... I tried to watch Junjo Romantica once. Never again. It was just too much.
Like I mean... I bend both ways - openly. But I have a real hard time watching that much of it. Not a fan of that going in there... IT'S A PRIVATE ACT!

I know what you mean - there is a line, and unfortunately, I've seen some things that made me wanna poke my eyes out... Gravitation was kinda funny, too....

Like I mean, if you're into putting your trouser snake in that certain area of the body, go for it. I just don't really want to see it.
Gravitation was great, I watched it with a friend who's grossed out very easily by gay stuff and it managed to get it's point across without really shouting "THIS IS A YAORI" from the rooftops like some animes. Also, Spicy Marmalade = catchy as all hell.
