yea i prefer to buy anime instead of downloading it.....
but i admit i have a hard drive full of anime that my bro downloaded for me.
tho i watch it and if i like it i buy it.
And i also like to have a real copy and not a 'black market' type of copy.
i dont really 'collect' in a way. i just get what anime i really love

i tend to dl anime first and then buy if its worth is cos i never like to buy 1 vol. at a time so if i sink almost 100 buck into something i don't end up liking ill rage....

hmm... i prefer englich dubs.
To be honest having to read and try and watch the anime at the same time is annoying.
I keep rewinding to watch a sceens again cause i missed something they said or did.

I tend to agree - I'll download it, watch it, and if I like it, I'll buy it - same with manga to... As for collecting, I have anime, manga, some anime figures and I also have a growing collection of anime/manga/video game art books eg. Wolf's Rain "Seeking Rakuen" art book (very hard to get a copy of), Last Exile art book, Tales of Symphonia animation art etc. My favs are definantly my Wolf's Rain, ToS, Black Butler and Suikoden Tierkries books.....

Mine aren't "How to draw manga" books, although I do have some of those - bookshops just don't sell them anymore - instead, you get the crappy american try-hard "how to draw manga style" books... Man , I hate those books....

i soooo desperately wanna get anime figurines.
I have sailor moon ones i got at a market years back. I think they are just those 'black market' kind, you kno the fake ones. but i still love them
And i have a wooden sailor moon and it broke!!! i glued her together but its just not the same anymore *huddles in a corner and cries*

I get my anime figures from japan off Ebay - there are some ruthless bidders you gotta go up against...hehe, it's my birthday the day after this month's meeting (sat 15th Aug) - if anybody cares......... Wow, I'll be 21.. where has the time gone...?

ive never been on ebay, i dont intend to start going anytime soon. Something about it puts me off.
