Let me just say this, me and my Transformers friend had a LONG debate on why/why not the movie was bad. I personally don't know what to think, perhaps I'm being too fussy. I mean it would please me if I weren't much of a fan with some already strong knowledge of the Transformers.

Personally I didn't like the first Transformers movie. I accepted it for what it was - a movie packed with so many action scenes, every other scene suffered, and didn't really expect much more from the second film.
With that said, I didn't think Transformers 2 was too bad considering.

Simultaneously a great 'movie' and a brainless 'film'. (imo, of course!)  Funny moments were great throughout, especially when watching it with friends at a packed cinema (except the robot twins. Irked me too much), but T2 suffered too much from an uneventful middle triad. Nice character development there anyway. |

There were lots of things that were wrong with this movie... Jetfire being old being one of them! Ironhide had barely any lines..... It was mainly a "Look at our new guys" for the autobots.... The twins were okay but were used too often and just got annoying at points.... Sideswipe should have had more screentime.... Many of the decepticons got barely any! And what was with megatron bowing to the fallen..... He's Megatron!

I also thought the Dawsons Creek-esque love story between Sam and Mikaela was lame. I mean the movie was called Transformers but instead we gotta watch a pointless subplot between a boy and girl with relationship problems. I mean seriously, WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!?

The bit where the duel energon blades came out was the highlight of the movie
