Most memoriable moments in anime (spoilers)

Write about the most memorable things in anime, things that you will never ever forget. but yea it should be obvious this thread will most likely end up having a fair decent spoilers in it so you have been warned.


The three big ones I can think of right now come from Naruto, Hajime no ippo and Code geass.

Naruto, well its when is fighting Pein, and pein basicaly has him beat, but just as he is about to finish him hinita comes, she stops pein and then confesses her love to naruto, she then goes and trys to protect/rescue naruto but with little success almost dieing in the process, naruto then goes into kyuubi mode and almost all 9 tails are released. Honestly i watch this episode over and over again, its beautiful.


Hajime no ippo, its when he looses to date. Ippo is fighting hard but loosing, he swings wide and date (da-te) conects with the heart break shot and its all over, a beating heart is the music and on the final stroke it misses a beat. the towel is thrown in and you are just left with shock and awe all over your face.


Code geass, this should be fairly obvious, the ending. I just find it perfect. I dont even want to say it incases it spoils it for someone, it is the only anime that brought a tear to my eye for simply being so damn good.


I have more and will probably expand upon this list, but i want to hear others for now.

Well, for me it's the Cowboy Bebop ending - it just gets you thinking. Spike practically loses everything he ever held dear, manages to defeat Vicious, then dies at the end. For me it was actually the way he died - he died with style - I still cried though ;_;

Another is the ending to Death Note - I was waiting for Light's downfall, and man was it spectacular. Light was ever the cool and collected guy, but just the way he completely lost it when he realised he's "lost the game" to Near. An awesome ending...

And of course, the final fight scene in Sword of the Stranger - sooo cool

Gurren Lagann: Kamina Dies. How can a character so awesome and so brotastic die off so early? Came up to me like a sucker punch it did.

As for the Code Geass moment that Thomas talking about assuming it came from R2, it reminded me of something that would come out of a Batman comic/show/movie (the good ones, not the shitty Joel Schumacher ones).
