I understand that much, but movie studios are going to focus on the demographic which they can profit from much since their movies don't require much time and effort. That's my main concern that the current generation of kids/tweens/teens and those at heart are killing decent cinema.

Well, I sat through the movie "forgetting Sarah Marshall" and regretted it almost immediately - granted - the puppet show at the end was funny, but all the rest....meh.
God I hate Twilight - they throw that crap in our faces non-stop, but god forbid the movie theatres screen an animated movie from Japan - sure, they screened Ponyo, and some Melbourne theatres screened Howl's moving castle, but that's all we get. It's alomost like America dominates everything and dictates what we should watch. They screen those sexed up, low brow (and I mean LOW) slutty, crude, horrible movies, but most of the decent stuff seems to get overlooked...

SHOTGUN NOW!
I really hate it when males act immature and stupid. This morning I watched as one stood in the middle of the road to halt traffic in order to look " Cool" in front of his mates. Seriously if i was that driver... I would damn well have rammed him. It gets worse.... After they got across the road thay upon noticing the girl walking behind me had the audacity to start wolf whistling and carrying on like a trio of hormonal animals. Seriously these guys who were in their 20's just went into 13 year old horny mode and really upset her. Those who cannot control themselves should be shotgunned to the face. Perhaps its a bit drastic but at least this problem would diminish. Gentle out!

There are many occasions where I want to kick the crap out of these stupid, stupid people. Seeing guys act like that just makes me lose my faith in men all together -_- But then again, there are good guys out there - Good on you Josh for wanting to fight the problem - even if it requires a shotgun! *salutes* Phoenix out! (heh, I had to say that too

>.> I'm on the fence with this one, as I have been the nerd who went up into the library and read books and lanned games during my lunchtimes but also i went out and played rugby and acted like an idiot as well. I dont see a problem with having a good time, though the idiots who dont know when to stop yes they deserve to be shotgunned. And guys who disrespect women, yes all of them need to be shot.

Hmmmm, that's half the reason I don't go out at night - drunk people scare me. I did get verbally abused by some drunk guy at 9am on a Saturday morning once - he actually chased me too, but I managed to evade him by running into Big W... how sad...

Verbally abused as in being called every foul name under the sun, and I didn't kick his ass because it was one of those situations where I was able to get away from him, rather than being held up in a corner and made to defend myself - it what's know as "fight or flight"...

Fair enough. If it makes you feel better, someone like him is probably doing coke off the blade of a knife while sipping cheap wine in the gutter.

Another rant!
Fortune cookies. As much as I like the taste of them and enjoy the novelty of having some kind of message in a cookie. I have two complaints. One: Why are the messages so goddamn cryptic? Here's a message I just got from a cookie earlier tonight "A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance." I pause for a moment before asking people around me, what the hell does this mean? Why don't cookies have messages that are direct and spot on like "You are awesome!", "That chicken is going to kill you", "Stop being lazy and get stuff done", "Tomorrow is going to be better than today". Why are messages always so vague? Fortune cookies don't need to be so complicated. Two: The person who thought putting numbers on the other side of a message, giving hope for those wanting to get the 30 million this Tuesday is an *profanity*. Seriously, I wonder how many of those numbers got it right. Speaking of which my numbers were 1, 14, 21, 27, 28, 29. Would anyone win the lottery with those numbers? They might as well of told me to get a job.
So yeah, that's it. Anyone else got a 'profound' message in a cookie?

as do I - kendo training is a bitch in this weather. Although, it's exactly the same in the heat too - ya just can't win.... As for fortune cookies - can't say I eat them that much, but it kinda remindes me of horoscopes - "singles be ready for a fun and exciting encounter with an attractive newcomer" - what a load of CRAP - it's false hope dammit! Clairvoiant my ass... Any half-wit can write crap like that - but the sad thing is, I know a lot of women who take horoscopes as the ABSOLUTE - "you will face troubles today" : welcome to the real world...
