Do you get it during Wimbledon as well? Two shots a year would suck...

I believe at that time Channel 9 plays Wimbeldon as it would Cricket nowadays.
As I was in the city today, there was too many shirtless men wearing flags as capes. I would facepalm but I'm afraid of being unpatriotic (or a communist for those who overblow stuff up). Seriously as I was in Fed Square today there was a LOT of people sitting down, on the hard ground watching people play tennis on the giant monitor. It's quite sad really, as the ACMI had some awesome stuff on today.

I would argue that at least your country is *good* at sports. I suppose it must be annoying though because that perpetuates the sports being thrust in your face.

Yes, between football, cricket and tennis, as well as car racing - it does get thrust in our faces.... Not everybody likes those sports dammit!

Something happened to me this morning. Does anyone else get 'sleep-paralysis'? Where someone wants to wake up but you can't move any part of your body. Worse yet, you are aware of this and you can't do shit about it but think WAKE UP WAKE UP TURN THE BODY MOVE THAT ARM UP. That annoys me so much. People should be able to sleep and move on, they don't need to be stuck laying on a bed/couch/floor.

Yeah, I've had that happen to me before. The most annoying thing for me is when I'll wake up, and both my arms are completely numb - that's just weird, and annoying...

Much scarier if you sleep face down. You get that smothered feeling. It is not pleasant.

Sometimes my hand goes numb. Probably because I accidently slept on it the entire night.
But anyways, sleep paralysis only seems to occur after I have a nightmare. Strange.

I think maybe that's due to the fear induced by a nightmare - hence sleep paralysis... has anyone ever just been lying in bed, then suddenly your entire body just jumps like you've been shocked? what's up with that? Maybe low blood sugar kicking in...
