I agree with you on this.
Hmmm...
I was thinking that all sports programs should have a dedicated free-to-air channel for them. Surely it won't happen, but I'd much prefer that than having to miss/delay my shows afterwards.
There's just too much... *puts on Madden voice* "intense games of FOOTBAAALLL!!" for my liking, and I never liked cricket anyway; it's much too stale. Even I can tolerate golf.

YARRRRR! I absolutely HATE sports on tv! All tv is on a weekend is sports! Do they honestly think that everyone wants to watch sports on the weekend? NO! I agree with borgie - good tv shows are currently delayed due to covergae of cricket, tennis, car racing, golf..... when does it end? I think there should be a single channel solely for sports - that includes football and all it's crappy talk shows - seriously: there are like 3 channels that air football matches - why 3? why not just 1? .................. sigh...

It may be too soon for another rant. But I am pissed off NOW.
Ever buy one of those games that you enjoy playing? But when others come in the room you play in and see or hear what comes out of the game and they just bring up dumb questions/comments according to what they perceive on what they see/hear. I just picked up my copy of Bayonetta today (excellent game btw) and because of the sexual overtones portrayed in the game I get copped a lot of shit (called a pervert, asked if Bayonetta is my girlfriend etc.). I know I should let it slide but that just ruins the game for me. Same can be said for when I played Super Mario Galaxy one time and my mom thought I was watching Snow White because she could hear the background music of the game and not see what I was playing. Another moment would of course be in Persona 4 when I was in Kanjis dungeon and boss fight and my cousin walked in when i was playing. Never had I been questioned about my sexual orientation so many times -_-;; . The game was spoiled then until I was able to progress on where I went to Rises dungeon (people who played KNOW what I am talking about) luckily I had nobody walk in on me then. I think other moments include Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy X-2 (Guilty, I know I played it but I didn't much care for it seriously). Either it's too 'kiddy' or whatever kind of label they want to place on a game. That really bothers me, I wish people wouldn't be so ignorant and at least play the game before they can make an assumption. I think it's fair to say though that Pokemon is doomed because heh Nintendo whored out the franchise. Am I right people?
I think the same thing can be said for Anime. I remember I was watching ep 1 of FMP! where it got to the locker room scene (do I need to explain), younger brother walks in. Calls me a loser for watching said scene. Ironically I was watching Berserk a differetn time and I had nobody complain about the violence and whatnot.
I think the last straw was when I had my parents talk to me in my room one time and they look around at my room full of collectables to do with games/anime, stacks of games, movies, shoecases full of manga under the bed. My parents had the BALLS to compare me to the 40 year old virgin. I didn't know what to say, I just walked out of my room because I had no such comeback to that statement.
Does anyone get annoyed by this as much as I. Please do share your stories.

I can understand that all too well. When I was playing Persona 4, questions were raised about it - because at that time, I happend to be running around in Rise's dungeon.... I really get annoyed, especially when my older sister is present in the house, when I'm watching anime in my room - regardless of whether my door is closed or not, my brother or sis, or both, just stroll into my room and start talking about something, glance at the screen - and if a female character happens to have large boobs, they go on and on about it... Either that, or they call it kiddy cartoons or liken it to porn...... Thankfully, my mum is understanding and accepts me and my room full of anime/manga/collectables and such...

The worst thing that's happened to me in that regard is my trying to speak to my favourite teacher about anime in school. She looked at me like she was totally disappointed in me and said "What? Like Pokemon?". I totally respected her and valued her opinion, the fact that she thought so little of something I thought was a great way to present stories (She was my english teacher and I'm an obsessive english academic) actually made me cry later (v pathetic I know).
The thing is though, you can get mad or upset. I think people who watch gore porn films (saw etc etc) have something missing in their brains but I'd never say that to a friend who enjoyed them. I guess I'm lucky that my mum is open minded and has even watched anime with me (she enjoys ghilbli films, my ultimate victory) but I know my Dad would not have me watching anime in the living room. So what? I go watch in my room on my time. That said, I'm so very glad I moved out before I got into violent video games and I always watched anime that I knew would have sex with one headphone in and one head phone out so I could prepare to close the laptop if need be.

parents are funny, the only thing my mum says when i game when people are over is "i think your boring people" my recent response was "nonsense". im glad m parents never really minded the swearing in some games i had, the recent game i've been playing is assassins creed2, and they pretty much say it in Italian, of course both my parents know Italian so, the find it amusing when they hear it. As for Anime, i think they accepted the fact im addicted to it, my mum loves Rurouni Kenshin, as well as my dad, but he also likes Dragonball. Funny thing is my parents seem to walk in, in the most awkward times when i play games or watch anime, there timing is too perfect >.<

Ah, I'm sooo glad my mum accepts me and my love of anime etc. - she actually has favourite anime series: Wolf's Rain and Ouran High school Host Club My dad on the other hand.... On the off chance I get to see him when he's in the country, he tends to just avoid asking me about my hobbies and such - especially when I told him about cosplay... He'll accept it one day ;D
