ok all this is well and good but come on we need serious ideas anything from an actual party followed up by an anime binge of some kind (like a whole season of something) to just going to movies or something

Yes, you're right... I think if we have a party, Japanese themes would be great fun, and I also agree with afterlight - an 'anime binge' would be great - screening back-to-back episodes of a series. Although doing this, we'd most likely need to camp out overnight somewhere.... We still have a while to think about this, though  |

well if we are doing a back to back screening thing we need a location to host it........ mind you me saying that sound like I've made BAKA's mind up for it. come on people SPEAK UP we need more that 2 or 3 members discussing this even if its just to say you don't care what happens at least that way we can reach a decision.

Ok - we have concluded that cake is a must-have: now onto what everyone wants to do..... We need ideas, people! If we did a back-to-back screening, I'd say we could hold it at my place, 'cos I got plenty of room - but nobody wants to come out to the middle of nowhere... sigh....

watching anime sounds good
Would we watch a paticular series or the first episode or two from several different anime to give people an idea of anime they might want to start watching.?

Thats a pretty good idea, or perhaps play the trailers of 5 or so different animes, then people vote on what to watch the whole season of?

Either option is fine with me - we just need to organise a place to do this - if we are having any sort of party, it is most likely there will be mess - YHQ is always a first option, but how long will the event go for? We are yet to decide... Keep the ideas coming! |

i think portalmans idea is marvelous!! That way you get to see a few potential anime then watch one. Well anime takes up at an estimate half an hour a episode (depending on the anime) so we have to take that into consideration when we think of how long the party will go for also think about time before and after that. and time for cake!!! |
