*raises hand for one MINIMUM*
Now to see if I've enough cash to make both shows hopefully (still waiting for prices/ticket dates). Should be epic beyond proportions. Palais is a much better venue (aesthetically similar to Radio City Music Hall - Score - with proper level seats and architecture inside, etc.) than the oven that is Festival Hall anyway (last year's venue for Chaos in Motion. Festival Hall isn't not too bad though; saw NIN there earlier this year and the heat suited really well haha)

Mmm, not too sure if I could make it either. Supposedly, tickets over in WA are about $90 or so. Reasonable compared to what's being charged for over here.
Nyyerrgghh, I'll decide soon enough. *mumble grumble*

I have something big planned in the early afternoon of their 1st show in Melbourne. Top secret. All will be revealed on the night/next morning.
Stay tuned.

Really wish I had enough money for this I did manage to get enough together for the Mars Volta though which should be pretty great too, though it's at festival hall... Is anyone else going to Mars Volta?

WHAT?: John Petrucci (clinic for Ernie Ball strings/Music Man guitars) WHEN?: Spensers Live - 419 Spencer St, Melbourne WHERE?: Monday 7th December, 1:00pm HOW MUCH?: Free admission MORE INFO: www.spenserslive.com.au/gigs.htmlWHAT?: Mike Portnoy (autograph signing session/photos with fans, etc.) WHERE?: Drumtek - 529-535 High Street, Northcote WHEN?: Tuesday 8th December, 4:00pm HOW MUCH?: Possibly free; not too sure... MORE INFO: www.mikeportnoy.com/forum/m2446057.aspxI will try to get JP to sign my Priest Vol. #1 manga - his inspiration for the lyrical content of In the Presence of Enemies, as well as my Special Edition of Chaos in Motion (limited to 5000 copies, 2x DVD/3x CD) I'm not sure if I can make the MP session. It's ironic, as I am a fellow drummer, too! Darn it! I'll try my best to get pictures with any of them, and post them in this thread. Really wish I had enough money for this I did manage to get enough together for the Mars Volta though which should be pretty great too, though it's at festival hall... Is anyone else going to Mars Volta? I was originally going to go to The Mars Volta's sideshow at Festival Hall (not their Soundwave performance) - but after the recent drama between Thomas and Omar + the rest of the band, alongside the 'relative insignificance' of Octahedron (imo, in comparison to previous TMV records), I had decided to give them a miss for this tour. Sorry! I will make sure to be there for the next tour cycle when such an album makes an welcomed impact. However on the contrary, I've saved up enough cash for Porcupine Tree on Feb 7th at the Palace Theatre. Anyone else going to this? premier.ticketek.com.au/shows/show.aspx?sh=PORCUPIN10&searchId=5c214441-e0b0-4090-b7a7-55b2ff107224EDIT: Just brought tickets for the show on 8th December. Tickets are $60 for tomorrow only! Pain of Salvation are the opening act. \m/ (>_<) \m/

Woah woah woah, Chaos in Motion. That's pretty much the best thing ever. Really? CiM was the most valued DT-related item I have, so that's why I chose to get that signed. My live DT preference BY FAR is Budokan / Score, to be honest. On that note, I know that afterlight is a Metropolis 2000 fanboy.
