For anime I'm into Bleach (that much is obvious...), but otherwise I like the more artsy stuff like Mushishi, the Studio Ghibli flims. I watched Zombie Loan and a bit of Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, but I guess my real preference lies towards games... lol...the headcrab zombie was done with old clothes and an old bike helmet from a secondhand goods shop...it all came under $10 and was done overnight. oohh! someone who knows mushishi!!! I love that anime... :-D you seem like a good one for budget cosplays (like Karasu and myself). Good to have you aboard! |

I spent close to $1000 each on my Stargate and Jedi costumes getting them as screen accurate as possible and they still both require weapon upgrades whish will cost hundreds more!  I'll admit my Great Saiyaman was fairly budget though theres parts of that I'm planning on re-doing/upgrading eventually. Then there's my secret Armageddon cosplay which will probably go over $1k  ;D |

Well i have 4 wins...
armageddon 08- best cosplay
Egames/Idef08- best technical
supanova- best cosplay
animania- runner up best male
and i have finally though of a budget cosplay! its pretty simple, just modding some stuff ill get at the opp shop, should come under $20 as long as i forsake accurate shoes. Although thats not including a wig.

I've only entered one comp (Armageddon last year) and that wasnt to win it was for fun seeing as most of the stuff I wore was bought and modified in parts. Everyone loved it though, especially after a million Naruto cosplays  Got one of the loudest cheers though so that's reward enough |

Yeah you did get a pretty good cheer for that. Some of the narutu cosplayers at the end actually got booed... this message to all generic narutu cosplayers (there are some exceptions of decent narutu cosplays):
You like narutu, WE GET IT!! now make a good skit or go home. (sorry if this offends anyone, but its true...)

I've been overseas and not attended these events. Why did the naruto cosplayers get booed? Costumes not accurate, or did something bad...? :? I mean, a person should be able to cosplay any character they like, just for the fun of it.

About 90% of the cosplayers at Armageddon last year were dressed as Naruto, and I'm not over exaggerating that number. Everyone was just so sick of it, there were so many, it was just really repetitive. I feel sorry for them actually.

Yep, what Zac says is true, plus the skits were terrible... The only good skits i remember were Rose's as Alucard, the dude as the aliens marine, and Zac's was pretty funny |
