In this thread post your favorite anime. It has to be your all time favorite, you can only pick one, so choose wisely!
Also post why its your favorite, what aspects of it makes it your favorite. (Only post YOUR favorite, don't comment on others, i don't want this turning into a my favorite is better than yours flame war)
Mine is Cowboy Bobop.
Cowboy bebop has everything, a great story, great animation, humor, wit, romance, great music, gunfights, space fights, suspense, action, crime, and most importantly, its got style.
To quote the A-Team, its on the Jazz! (you have to imagine Mr T saying that...)
Its very reminiscent of Firefly/serenity, in fact i wouldnt be surprised if some of Joss Whedons inspiration for Firefly came from watching Cowboy Bebop.
Come to think of it, if they have to make a live action cowboy bebop movie, joss whedon would be the perfect person for the job!

I could not picture Vin Deisal as Ed in Bebop - *shudders* - I don't mind him as an actor, but come on... I can't say I have a favourite anime series, but I really like: Cowboy Bebop, Wolf's Rain, Last Exile, Rurouni Kenshin (it's an old series, but I like it..), Utawarerumono, Ouran High School, Fullmetal Alchemist, Fullmetal Panic, Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto (what a mouthfull..)...... Eh, I could be going on forever....  |

If he bursts out to song with Kaname if he gets the part, I will rage in the cinema. EDIT: While the bigwigs of hollywood are murdering one of my favorite anime series. Why not rename the movie High School Musical 4! |

For all we know they may also 'Westernize' the movie for us (eg. giving English names, replace Kanames Paper Fan with Nerf Baseball Bat.)
