Looks like I'll be going to manifest as a moe maid, seeing as I have the inability to sew my own stuff I ordered it custom fitted about a month ago and they JUST SHIPPED IT yesterday. (grrr) Got my shoes from One Day in Paradise, considering wearing contacts to enhance my eyes. It's probably been discussed, but where do you get the cheapest closest to Ballarat?
Has nothing to do with Anime, really, but I'll be starting on my first hand made cosplay this week (Sally Jupiter from the Watchmen movie, I considered the graphic novel version but I'm not a fan of the poodle hair for anyone's who's read it.) Here's hoping I don't brutalise that. I'll be wearing that to Armageddon as well as a Daria cosplay one of the days, third day I'm not sure. Depending on how the money is by then I may be cosplaying Princess Daisy, if not, looks like I'm dusting off the moe uniform. :3
Other than that, looking at cosplaying Ashley Graham from RE4 soon (maybe for Armageddon? I can run around screaming 'Leon!' and annoying everyone all day, hahah.) Anyone know where I may procure a cheapish blonde wig?
Also, to more or less contribute, if any of you guys need help with hair and makeup I'm willing to help, especially with effects stuff like liquid latex, peeling skin, burns, using ridged collodian for scars and whatnot.

I would very much appreciate any help since I'm looking at getting into some serious FX makup in the future starting with Armageddon as p0rtalman mentioned. I've done a bit in the past (Spike vampire face from Buffy/Angel a couple of years ago) which turned out ok and I've done scarring with Ridged Collodian before on my Kenshin costume which turned out fantastic. What I'm wanting to do for Armageddon is on a whole other level though. Here's a semi-decent pic of who I'm doing: Pretty much latex veins and bumps around the neck, face and hands. Still figuring out how I'll do it though...

Hmmm, the image didn't show up but I'll do some research on creating latex veins. At this point I'll suggest tissue paper and latex, cotton balls and latex or toilet paper and latex for lumps and bumps, and for the veins depending on how they look maybe just rolled up pieces of dried latex. I'd also suggest you pick up some spirit gum and blue & black facepaint.
Also, yes, Moeko. I'd only heard the term Moe but there you go, learning something every day. Look forward to seeing you there, hahah.

Hm, you're definitely going to need some spirit gum and a GOOD sponge to apply the blue with. I'm not sure where you'd get metallic blue facepaint but I know it's available. You'll also need toilet paper and maybe even some fake skin for some of the bumps. You might want to head to the kyrolan cosmetics place called 'Backstage Makeup' www.kryolancosmetics.com.au/ for the tools you'll need, print out a picture and show it to them. You'll also probably want to invest in some of the metal moulding tools, I'd offer to lend you mine but SOMEONE stole my makeup bag at the Zombie Shuffle so I'm building up supplies again at the moment and thus I don't actually have any.

Yeah I've look at Kryolan before. As I mentioned before, if done some FX makeup before so I have a bit of a makeup kit already so I've got spirit gum and liquid latex and various sponges. Mainly need the blue face paint.

Hmm, Even if you could find a silver base and mix it with some blue... maybe check out spotlight in their party section? Even that Jolly Joker's place might have some, I remember picking up some UV facepaints from there.

Well I might try that Masquerade theatrical makeup from the Jolly Joker since I've used that before and it's turned out ok. They do have some metallic colours though if they dont have it in blue I'll try your idea with the silver base. I can get the fake nails from there as well.

Masquerade is a fantastic makeup brand. EVERYONE, GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! Also, if push comes to shove, you can probably get a pot of metallic blue eyeshadow and use that liquid that turns it into facepaint and just use copius amounts of that. You can order that all online.
